Grandparents Mediation Centre

Firstly, I thought you would be interested to know how we are getting on. The project has really taken off over the last couple of months and we are seeing quite a few referrals from solicitors for parents and grandparents to mediate. There has also been an increase in the number of parents willing to mediate - resulting in contact being re-established! We still have cases that are not resulting in contact but we are now seeing some more positive results.

We now have a filmmaker to make our short films about grandparent’s stories. His name is Martin Smith and he is very experienced in telling real people's stories. I wonder if you know anyone who would like to tell their story

Would it help if I put together some information for you to pass on? This would be a great opportunity to really show what being a grandparent means to people and possibly how hard it is if contact with grandchildren is removed. I would love to hear any ideas you have in relation to the films.

Contact direct if you have a story to tell.
